Full Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Quality Management Representative / Compliance Manager for a leading business operating within the aerospace, defence and electronic components sector, based in Connecticut, USA. This Compliance Manager role is to lead its quality and compliance function across international operations. This is a senior quality management job for someone with a strong background in compliance, audit leadership and regulated environments. The successful candidate will take ownership of quality systems, certification management, regulatory compliance and audit readiness across multiple sites. This role would suit an experienced Quality Manager, Compliance Manager or Quality Assurance professional with expertise in aerospace quality standards, defence compliance and electronic component quality systems. It is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into a high-impact compliance leadership position within a technically advanced and highly regulated business.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee documentation, procedures and internal controls required to maintain certifications and approvals.
Act as the main point of contact for certification bodies, third-party auditors and customer audit teams.
Lead regulatory compliance activity across key frameworks including CMMC, ITAR, JOSCAR, GIDEP and ERAI.
Develop and maintain policies relating to environmental, health and safety, corporate governance and recycling compliance.
Ensure the business remains aligned with legal, contractual and regulatory requirements.
Prepare for and lead customer audits including audits from major defence and aerospace customers.
Manage internal audit programmes and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
Drive audit readiness across sourcing, supply chain, corporate systems and laboratory testing processes.
Ensure employee training records, compliance documents and quality manuals are accurate, current and audit ready.
Promote a culture of quality, compliance and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
Provide quality and compliance leadership across multiple sites and standardise processes across locations.
Preferred Ideal Experience & Skills Required
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
Degree qualified in Engineering, Quality, Business or a related discipline.
At least 10 years of experience in quality management, compliance or auditing.
Previous experience working within aerospace, defence or electronic components.
Strong knowledge of AS standards including AS6171, AS6081 and AS9120.
Strong understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and wider quality management systems.
Knowledge of DLA requirements, MIL standards and corporate governance frameworks.
Proven experience leading customer audits, certification audits and internal audit programmes.
Experience managing compliance programmes across multiple locations.
A strong background in regulatory compliance, supplier quality or audit leadership.
Familiarity with cybersecurity compliance frameworks such as CMMC or Cyber Essentials would be beneficial.
Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Manager, Certified Quality Auditor or Lead Auditor would be advantageous.
Excellent attention to detail, documentation control, leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Salary :- c$120,000 Base + 10% performance bonus & further benefits package.
Hours: - 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
