Full Job Description
A Business and Sales Support Administrator is required local to Cheltenham, to support the sales and wider business operations teams of a growing renewable energy technology manufacturer. The Business and Sales Support Administrator will play an important part in processing customer purchase orders, progressing sales activity and keeping accurate business records. The role involves regular contact with residential customers, trade customers, wholesalers, installers and suppliers by telephone and email. The successful Business and Sales Support Administrator will be organised, accurate and comfortable managing several priorities in a busy commercial environment. This is a varied opportunity for someone who enjoys keeping work moving, supporting colleagues and delivering a professional service to customers and partners.
Key Responsibilities
Process customer purchase orders accurately and progress them through each stage.
Maintain clear order records and keep customers informed of relevant updates.
Support the sales team with day-to-day administration and customer requirements.
Respond professionally to enquiries from residential customers, trade customers, wholesalers and installers.
Maintain accurate customer, supplier and opportunity information within the CRM system.
Manage electronic files and ensure documentation is organised and easy to retrieve.
Communicate with internal teams, external suppliers and other business stakeholders.
Conduct supplier and product research when required.
Monitor agreed quality measures and key performance indicators.
Prepare accurate updates and reports for sales and business operations colleagues.
Support marketing administration and CRM activity when required.
Assist different departments with administration projects and improvement initiatives.
Identify practical ways to improve administrative processes and customer support.
Contribute positively to the smooth running of the wider business.
Experience and Skills Required
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
Demonstrate previous experience in administration, sales support, order processing or a related role.
Organise work effectively and maintain strong attention to detail.
Prioritise competing tasks and meet agreed deadlines.
Communicate clearly and professionally by telephone, email and in person.
Use Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and other Microsoft Office applications confidently.
Maintain accurate information within CRM systems and shared business records.
Work effectively with customers, suppliers and colleagues across different departments.
Take a proactive approach to solving problems and keeping tasks moving.
Work independently when required and contribute positively within a team.
Bring experience using HubSpot or another CRM platform as an advantage.
Bring experience using Xero, Oracle or another finance or ERP system as an advantage.
Show an interest in renewable energy, technology or a product-led business environment.

This permanent full-time Business and Sales Support Administrator role offers a salary of circa £25,000 depending on experience and the chance to join a fast-growing British renewable energy technology manufacturer. You will work closely with sales and operational colleagues in a varied position where strong organisation and customer support make a visible difference. The role provides broad exposure to commercial operations and good scope to develop your systems, customer service and business administration experience. Support towards a relevant Business Administration qualification may also be available where appropriate.
Salary: c£25,000 depending on experience.
Location: Toddington near Cheltenham. Office based.
